Obituary for Ruth Winnifred McLaughlin (Glenn)

McLaughlin, Ruth Winnifred...Retired Post Mistress and owner of McLaughlin General Store, passed away peacefully at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital on August 19th, 2014. Ruth McLaughlin of Campbellford in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank McLaughlin. Loving mother of Bob McLaughlin and his wife Judy of Edmonton, Dianne Ellis and her husband David of Oak Lake, Glenn McLaughlin and his wife Pat, Mary Jane Thomson and her husband Alvin both from Campbellford and Nancy McLaughlin-Shaw and her husband Michael of Bowmanville. Dear grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Missed by her sister-in-law Tressa Glenn and her cousin Rita Parr. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Beatrice Waters, Marion Gardner, Leslie Glenn and an infant sister Mildred Glenn. Ruth's gardens brought joy to everyone. The family will receive friends at the Weaver Family Funeral Home - Campbellford Chapel, 77 Second Street, Campbellford on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with The Funeral Ceremony in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Marion Traviss Officiating. Interment at Centre Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
