WATSON, Donald R. "Whipper" (Retired after 29 years WO-RCAF and completed his career with 14 years of commercial flying)....The hangar door closed for Whipper on Tuesday September 16th, 2014 at the age of 84 years. He passed away at his home with his beloved wife of 57 years, Shirley Watson at his side. Loving father of Alana Turncliffe & her husband Bob, David Roy Watson and Angela Braun & her husband Johannes. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Robert, Steven, Jordan, Gabriel, Sebastian and Benjamin. Survived by his brother Frederick Watson and his brothers in law Glen Holmes, John Forbes, Donald Moore & his wife Barbara and their families. Predeceased by his sister Muriel Holmes and his brother Jim Preston. The family will host a celebration of Don's life at the 413 Wing, North Murray St., Trenton on Monday September 22nd, 2014 from 2-5 PM, with a tribute beginning at 2:30pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Air Force Museum of Canada, Belleville General Hospital Foundation - Oncology Unit or in his memory donate blood at your next community Blood Donor Clinic.
