Condolences

Condolence From: Murray & Mercedes Forbes
Condolence: We were lucky enough to have him in our lives and got to spend time with him during his winters in Florida. He was a loving, kind and generous person. Uncle Don will be sorely missed.

Condolence: Shirley
We are sadden to learn of Whipper's passing. We have fond memories of our crew and our parties in both S'side and Comox. Also the flights Don and I had with Worldways are equally memorable. Unfortunately I had to miss his Celebration of Life as I had to take my daughter and grandaughter to the airport this afternoon. Nevertheless I often thought of our many escapades during the drive. RIP Whipper.

Condolence: Our sincere condolences to Shirley and family on your loss. I flew with Whipper for many years, both in the military and civil air. I always enjoyed his company professionally and as a friend.
He will be missed but lovingly remembered.

Condolence: It is hard to believe Whipper has taken his final flight. I have so many great memories of Don, he will always bring a smile to my face when I think of him. My heart goes out to Shirley, Angela, Dave, Alana, Jordan and all Don's grandchildren.

Condolence From: Mike Taylor
Condolence: It saddens me that Don passed away. As you recall Shirley that D.R took me under his wing somewhat while flying the Argus in Comox. I had the opportunity twice more to fly with D.R in Trenton and Toronto.
I am unable to attend in person
for the "Celebration of Life" for Donald Roy. However my heart filled condolences go out to you and the family.

Best Regards, Mike Taylor. Elmira

Condolence From: Ted Ryczko
Condolence: I very much enjoyed my many Boeing 707 flights with Whipper at 437 Squadron. He had a crafty dry sense of humour, and although he was very soft spoken, the last word always had solid nice punch to it: appropriate, succinct, and always funny. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Dying is one of the few events in life that's certain to occur, yet one we rarely plan for. Should we spend more time preparing for a two week vacation than we do our last days on Earth?
