Charles, Charlie, Chuck or Marm; he answered to any of these names and always with a smile or a quick "Good Day!"
Charles was a very kind & gentle man; a man anyone could call apon and he'd be there to lend a helping hand. He was a very, very hard worker; morning, noon and night & always up and at it.
He left school at an early age to assist his Father & Mother with the family farm & he did so until January 1994. At that time he and his parents sold the family farm after decades of working the land & milking cows; the time had come for all of them to move to town. At that time Charles took great care of his aging parents; tirelessly he worked around the clock to make sure they were cared for 100%.
Charles did return to farming for other people; he was always dependable & a great worker. Late last year he was laid off and decided it was time ~ time for him to start scalling back on farm work. He was growing tired and farming was becoming to hard for him.
Charlie and I would spend hours on the phone discussing the world situation & problems around the world; we never cured the ails of the world but we had fun "Chit-chatting!' We always ended our conversation with ... "Thanks for the visit!"
You were my brother-in-law for almost 50 years; we met when you were almost 10 years old but most importantly, you were my friend ~ a special friend with a special bond! I will miss you Charlie; I will miss your very dry sense of humour and your laughter ..... Missing you always & more than anyone will ever know!
Rest in peace my friend; you've earned your wings!
Until we meet again .... "Miz ~ Pah"
Love & miss you always,
Dianne xo
